1. WHY ARE YOU THE BEST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE?
Trey J. Hunt I am qualified because of my lived experience, compassion from work experience, and my high level of education. I come from a working-class background and know the many obstacles to upward mobility. I am a mental health social worker for individuals experiencing homelessness. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Master's in Criminal Justice, and was pursuing a Master's and Ph.D. in Sociology before being laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I will be continuing my education after the election. |

2. HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH AND REPRESENT YOUR CONSTITUENTS, INCLUDING THOSE WHO MAY NOT SHARE YOUR VIEWS?
Trey J. Hunt I plan to stay in touch by hosting monthly town hall meetings in both Tarrant and Parker county. Even if individuals disagree with them me, they still pay taxes that pay my salary and for the policies I support, so they deserve to be heard by me. Additionally, we all make this part of Texas great and I value all members for that contribution. |

3. HOW DO YOU PLAN TO WORK EFFECTIVELY IN AN INCREASINGLY POLARIZED CONGRESS? ARE THERE ISSUES WHERE YOU SEE OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK ACROSS THE AISLE?
Trey J. Hunt I believe we must find common ground without sacrificing the legitimacy of democracy or the security of our constituents. We must first start with what we have in common and go from there. Opportunities for collaboration include disbursement of Build Back Better funding and how to improve the lives of our Veterans. |

4. WHAT IS THE PROPER ROLE OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IN DETERMINING ELECTION LAWS? WHAT ARE THE KEY CONCERNS YOU WOULD ADDRESS THROUGH LEGISLATION?
Trey J. Hunt The federal government is responsible for guaranteeing citizens' voices are equally heard and not silenced in favor of the ruling party. I would support legislation that seeks to enfranchise voters and create greater transparency in how ballots are counted. |

5. WHAT KEY ISSUES WOULD YOU ADDRESS IN AN IMMIGRATION REFORM BILL? |
|
Trey J. Hunt I support proactive immigration reform, which means increasing better diplomatic practices. We must invest in allied foreign nations and spur the development of safer and more economically prosperous societies that do not see a mass exodus to the United States. |

6. YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY FACE PARTICULAR CHALLENGES, SUCH AS AFFORDING HIGHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING, FINDING SECURE EMPLOYMENT, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, ETC. WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR ASSISTING THE NEXT GENERATION OF CITIZENS?
Trey J. Hunt First, we must normalize and increase vocational education as an alternative to higher education. The federal government must also take a proactive approach to stopping predatory student loan lenders. The federal government must also invest in affordable housing and public transportation. Increased public transit opens up new economic and housing opportunities. |

7. ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO ADD? |
|
Trey J. Hunt The end of the New Deal era and the rising oligarchy in America have contributed to the increased division in America. Until we stop the tax cheats and misinformation, we cannot begin to flourish as a nation. We must invest in our people first and capitalize on our nation's greatest resource, the American people. |
